Veejayant Kumar Dash
Senior Artist
Born 1977, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. BFA from BK College of Art and Crafts. He has been involved in Theatre from his graduation days and worked as Set, Costume and Graphic Designer for many Plays and also Odia Serials. He has been working in the public domain for the last two decades and has many public performance art to his credit. He has participated in ‘Environment, Justice, Inequity’, Visual Activism Symposium by San Francisco MOMA (Museum of Modern Art), USA in 2014, 13th Asian Art Biennale, Bangladesh, 2008. Veejayant has worked as a Visualiser for Swachhagrah: Bapu ko Karyanjali, on the ghats of Benaras in 2018 and has also curated many group exhibitions and conceptualized 0674, hello Bhubaneswar, an unique art exposition. He has two solo shows, one collaborative and many group shows to his credit across India and abroad. His works have been collected by many and the most important is in the permanent collection of National Art Museum of China. Veejayant is now the Member Advisory Committee of National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi.
